Cel-Shaded Battlemage Royale Spellbreak Casts a Spell on PS4 Next Month

If you can’t see the Thundercats in this Spellbreak launch trailer, then you’re officially too young. As a matter of a fact, we’re also too young because the series aired shortly before we were born, but we’re leaning on our deep knowledge of pop culture, and let us reiterate: the video embedded above looks a whole lot like Thundercats!

But we digress! Spellbreak is a free-to-play Battle Royale that’s been in beta for quite some time and will finally fall to the PlayStation 4 from 3rd September. The hook here is that, rather than shooting guns, you can wield a whole host of different gauntlets, all with unique powers like ice, wind, fire, and so on. You can then combine these for interesting effects, which is a really neat idea conceptually.
