Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Is 4K, 120 Frames-Per-Second on PS5
According to report.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will run at 120 frames-per-second in 4K resolution, according to a report published by Venture Beat. It’s unclear whether the title will achieve a full native 2160p image, but more likely is that it will render at a lower resolution and then use reconstruction techniques. The framerate seems achievable, however, given the first-person shooter is also scheduled to release on the PlayStation 4, where it will run at the series’ standard 60 frames-per-second.
The publication references many of the title’s next-gen improvements, including support for the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback, as well as vastly improved loading times. There’ll also be real-time ray tracing, as well as full HDR support. But perhaps most interestingly of all, the title will take advantage of Sony’s new 3D audio engine, meaning that you’ll be able to pinpoint the location of approaching footsteps and enemy fire more accurately than ever before.
