The best Australian PC gaming deals this week

Last updated: October 28, 2020

Each week, we trawl through the deepest, darkest corners of the world wide web in order to unearth some of the best PC gaming deals in Australia. This story will largely focus on highlighting PC hardware and peripherals discounts, but if there are any appealing AU-exclusive games bargains, we'll include them too.

Without further ado, here's our current selection of deals — as always, if you spot anything else good, let us know in the comments section below. This round-up will be updated weekly... or just whenever there's an especially good bargain to be had. As bargains expire, we'll remove them from the page.

Laptops

MSI GL65 Leopard 10SFSK | i7 10750H | RTX 2070 Super | 16GB RAM | 512GB SSD | AU$2,999 (usually AU$3,299)
A few outlets are offering this powerful (and blingy) MSI gaming laptop at the moment: Mwave is linked above, but Scorptec, Kogan and and PLE Computers are also running a promotion. If you like your laptops strewn with colour, it's well worth investigation.View Deal

Razer Blade 15 Advanced | i7-9750H | RTX 2070 | 16GB RAM | 512GB SSD - AU$4,125.56 (usually AU$4,588.95)
If you want a sleek laptop fit for travel that can also play blockbuster games with raytracing, well, we hope you've got lots of money. This at least, is cheaper than usual. Via Microsoft.View Deal

Gigabyte Aero 15 KB | i7-10750H | RTX 2060 | 16GB RAM  | 512GB SSD - AU$2,399 (was AU$3,099)
A nice and stylish gaming laptop for all your RTX gaming needs. This is the 15.6 inch FHD model - the screen boasts a 144Hz refresh rate. Via Scorptec.View Deal

Hardware

ASRock B550 PG Velocita motherboard | AU$283.62 (usually ~AU$310)
Asrock's B550 motherboards have fared quite well in our reviews, but we've not covered the PG Velocita specifically. Our sibling site Tom's Hardware has, and they enjoyed it, albeit criticising its lack of wi-fi. This discount is around AU$40 cheaper than the competition at present.View Deal

Monitors

Alienware 27 monitor (AW2720HF) | AU$629.30 (usually AU$899)
A nice AU$270 off this 27 inch, 1080p IPS monitor. Features FreeSync and a blistering 240Hz refresh rate. Via Dell.View Deal

Dell 27 gaming monitor | AU$639.20 (usually AU$799)
This is AU$10 more expensive than the Alienware monitor above, and is probably worth it if you're after a 1440p screen. Its highest refresh rate pales in comparion at 165Hz, but not all of us want to be pro gamers.View Deal

Accessories

Asus ROG Theta 7.1 wireless headset | AU$340.81 (usually AU$549)
Those willing to put down AU$550 for a set of gaming cans are probably in the minority, but this substantial discount on Asus's premium 7.1 surround sound unit is definitely worth consideration. It also boasts a clever noise cancelling microphone, powered by AI. Via Amazon.View Deal

Roccat Vulcan 121 mechanical keyboard | AU$206.83 (usually AU$248.62)
This red switch mechanical keyboard ships from the US, so unless you're an Amazon Prime member (read: free shipping) it may not be a huge discount. Then again, this RGB-lit beauty usually retails locally for around AU$270, so you're still getting it cheaper. Via Amazon.View Deal

Razer BlackWidow Chroma keyboard - AU$179 (usually AU$220)
A typically flashy Razer affair, with an advertised "80 million keystroke" lifespan, millions of colours and green mechanical switches. Via Amazon.

Razer Viper Esport mouse - AU$82 (usually AU$135)
Here's a wired ambidextrous gaming mouse that scored very well when we reviewed it last year. The current AU$75 price is the best we've seen of late.  Via Amazon.View Deal
